I;d Love to Have This "Ronnie-ism" Show Up At Our Convention!!

Do any of you older DUers remember the highlight of Ronnie's convention that brought the house down??---and I would soooooo love to see our nominee do this same thing. After Ronnie went down a shopping list from A to Unions (and all 'liberal' stuff inbetween) and blaming them for the terrible state of the country, he pointed upward to the media booths encircling the arena and lit into the media. The crowd exploded and went freakin' nuts. You see back then the press was doing something terrible: they were reporting news (gasp) and doing investigative reporting. The repukes didn't like it. They wanted a press that cheered them on and swept their sins under the rug like our press today. Now, can you invision our nominee, standing at the podium at our convention with all the national media cameras focused on him (and unable to cut away like the bastards do on a daily basis), and having the biggest audience he will ever have and saying something like this:

"As I speak to you this evening, political pundits and analyst await in the media booths surrounding us this evening (points to them), and they will be TELLING the American people when I finish what I said and what the people should think about what I said. I am sick and tired of the media telling the people what to think instead of reporting the news. I'm sick and tired of the pass this media has given to the Bush White House for four long years. I'm sick of this media barely covering a word spoken by us, the opposition party, in four long years. Freedom of the press is a sacred priviledge and one that comes with responsibility----without that responsibility it becomes nothing more than propaganda"!!!

Folks, I tell you he would bring the house down---and can you just see the faces of the pigs in the booths ready to tear him to shreds. Hell, they are going to do it anyway and they are going to cheerlead Bush all the way. He might as well take this golden opportunity to tell the people what these bastards are doing to them!!! Ohhhhhh, man, what I would give if our candidate would do something like this....

3. I agree, that is a wonderful idea, and I think

it would especially work for Dean, the way he can get crowds worked up. Can't you just imagine the repuke reaction on all the cable and network chatterfests and wingnut love-ins on hate radio?

4. It's real impact would be on those salivating sows sitting in the booths

ready to "analyze" the speech--you, now like they analyzed the debates to tell Aumerka that the candidate stinks, lies, talks in circles, you name it. What the hell would they say????---a true priceless moment.

2. It's an idea whose time has come....we need all the Press we can get

about what the Press is doing!
