An Ideological CIA Will Kill Intelligence Gathering
So, the purging at the CIA. Given

1) that the CIA informed Shrub in July that something big was coming (9-11), and

2) that he was TOLD on August 6 that it was hairraisingly here:

The upshot is that LOYALTY TO SHRUB is to be the main criterion for continued CIA employment, meaning that wingnut ideologues will be as DENSE as Shrub and as TONE DEAF (to subtleties) and will kill intelligence gathering.

2. Just give me intel that agrees with my position
JEEEZUS fucking Christ. How stupid is that?

Yes, we needed a shakeup, but we also needed to start with Condi Rice and Donnie RUmsfeld for their pre-9/11 failures.

4. Well, then...
If they proceed on this path, then things will get worse before they get better. A lot worse.

And with Clinton now, effectively, out of the line of blame fire, who gets the blame laid squarely at their feet.

Yeah, it will be way ugly. No doubts there. But perhaps, just perhaps, these guys will be revealed to the country, in stark relief.

Then there is what will come out from the former employees. That will be quite revealing.

5. They'll refocus the CIA INWARD !!!!

The Bush admin has different priorities:

1) Don't pay ANY attention to terrorism. Terrorist attacks have empowered the Bush administration. More terrorist attacks will deepen America's fear and further empower the Bushites!!! Counter-terrorism is BAD, it slows the neo-con agenda!!!

2) Re-start all those illegal little wars aimed at squelching Democracy around the world and replacing it with fascist neo-con synco-phants.

3) Restart all the drug smuggling operations that fund the illegal wars. The Mena airport will be OPEN FOR BUSINESS once again!!! Make sure to flood inner cities with drugs to keep the minorities down!!!

4) Protect and expand Anglo-American oil interests throughout the world.

5) Refocus the CIA to spy on US and Canadian citizens of liberal/progressive bents.

6. Doesn't anyone at the CIA or in the Bush admin care about
the problems of groupthink? That's a rhetorical question, I know the answer.

10. Yeah. And, the Abwehr should have been eliminated in the 1930's.
And, the same goes for the KGB, The Surete, MI-6, Mossad, and all the rest of the cutthroats and slime that make them a menace to the world.

11. Rule, you are so right.
But one major difference is the christian fundie basis of this revolting revolution.
Hitler sold German supremecy; these crazies are selling fundie christianity as being supreme.

It won't be long until our treasured church-state separation will be a lonely, long-missed memory.

14. Review the "Team B" Experiment
Edited on Mon Nov-15-04 01:16 PM by finecraft
http://www.thebulletin.org/article.php?art_ofn=apr93cahn

Full of neocons, many of whom are in power now, and they plan to totally restructure the CIA.....not for the better. Remember the OSP lead by Doug Feith and how they came up with all that bullshit information about how Iraq had WMD's and was ready to use them? That was the practical application of the Team B model.

Also, review the Rumsfeld Commission and their findings. Same incorrect conclusion the Team B group came up with; that intelligence analysis should be reviewed and analyzed within the framework of a political agenda.
