2. I did likewise ages ago
and haven't missed that crap littering my home. BTW, did you let the bastards know why? I sure did, not that it probably mattered to them but it made me feel good.

7. Yeah, their piece-of-shit post-election issue.
I was reading it less and less, anyway.

So long.

6. Good deal.
It has been out of my house for a couple of years. I really can't believe some of the articles they've been writing these days.

8. Oh, but what about
Anna Quindlen's column? (And there are a few more liberal columnists on staff, too I think) I was really torn about resubscribing, but I'm prolly going to hang on to this subscrib since I'm NOT watching any TV news again other than BBC and PBS occassionally. And it's good to know what "the other side" is thinking / doing.

I'm DEFINITELY re-upping Utne Reader, Mother Jones, and American Prospect.

10. Ehh.
She's alright, but Fareed Zakaria was a big reason I subscribed. Social liberal, fiscal conservative.

His weekly articles are posted on his website, www.fareedzakaria.com, so I'll just read 'em there.

9. Change of heart
Ok, screw Newsweek. I changed my mind. You just reminded me of their POS post-election rag. This will save me some money.

(I can always read old issues at my parents' place anyway.)

12. Funny you should mention that
My friend at the office told me yesterday she opened up her Newsweek this week, and then threw it away, and she said she's cancelling her subscription. I haven't been reading it lately.

16. I'm so tuned into DU
and other far more credible net sources (of course Mike Malloy!) that it's good to get that trashy issue each week for eye-rolling purposes if nothing else. keeps ya tuned into to the moron vibe which is important for cultural literacy.
