I don't know anyone who died from the AIDES virus, but those I've seen on TV all appear to be very skinny, very pale, and almost not able to move at all. The last pics I saw of Arafat, he sure didn't look skinny, and although he always looks pretty scummy, he didn't appear sick!

I've known people who died of AIDS who were at the gym working out a week before they died.

What people fail to understand is that AIDS is not a disease...it's a syndrome that cause people to die of opportunistic infections the body cannot fight off as a result.

Some people die of a wasting illness related to HIV, but many just get pneumonia and die very very rapidly.

Think of people who die of old age....some are healthy almost up until they die while others linger and whither away.

It's not that much different.
