OK I admit I am watching the "news" tonight for the first time since V-Day
(Nov. 2, 2004).

Three mothers of fallen soldiers here in Wisconsin, all tearless, proudly speak of their sons' sacrifice in **'s "war." One wears a marine necklace in remembrance of her young, handsome son.

Who are these stepford wives? I just don't get it.

1. I go between not believing it and cynicism.
I guess it's just the feeling one must believe or else your child died for nothing more than a lie.

2. If I had a son that died,
I would think I would want to believe it was for a just cause. When time passes and they see the futility of this war, I imagine they might then get angry.

3. I don't see how anybody still believes it's for a just cause...
It's a known fact ** lied. It's a known fact there were no WMD. Bin Laden is still making movies. And Bush is claiming today we are "winning." I am lost for words when it comes to naming what it takes to continue to believe people are dying for a just cause.

4. I agree with you, but these moms
are grieving. Perhaps they should be shrieking to the rafters their hatred for this war and administration, as I think I would be, but people have different grieving processes, never mind how they feel politically.
