1. "My uncle is a man named Steve, not a monkey!"
According to Cassidy Turnbull. That's odd, Cassie, he looks like a monkey to me.

2. Every time I see this posted...
...I go back and laugh all over again. I still can't decide if the best in show ribbon should go to "Maximal Packing Of Rodentia..." or "Women Were Designed For Homemaking".

7. Is this for real?
Edited on Wed Nov-10-04 01:04 AM by prof_science
I mean, really? I can't tell if it's real or parody. It's hilarious either way.

edit: the landover site is satire:

http://objective.jesussave.us/shutdown.html
(i'm making the assumption that the jesussave site is valid...)

edit2:(which I think is a big mistake. I'm so gullible)

22. Excellent. Too close to reality for me
but I love it!!! What I fear is that some will think it real and go looking for the pastor.

5. This one is even funnier!
"1st Place: "Life Doesn't Come From Non-Life"

Patricia Lewis (grade 8) did an experiment to see if life can evolve from non-life. Patricia placed all the non-living ingredients of life - carbon (a charcoal briquet), purified water, and assorted minerals (a multi-vitamin) - into a sealed glass jar. The jar was left undisturbed, being exposed only to sunlight, for three weeks. (Patricia also prayed to God not to do anything miraculous during the course of the experiment, so as not to disqualify the findings.) No life evolved. This shows that life cannot come from non-life through natural processes.
_______________

Patricia, you didn't pray in Latin.

9. Can't argue with that conclusion. Nope. Proof positive, fer shur.
But is it really better than "Women Were Designed For Homemaking", the 2nd place winner? And how does Patricia know she didn't evolve invisible life? Hmmm...

11. Gee, Lisa Simpson could do it! (static electricity)
my favorite part: "gee, they're evolving so fast. Wait! One of them is nailing something to a church door! I've created - LUTHERANS!"

8. It's satire
Pretty good satire, too, plausible enough to keep people wondering. They've been fooling people for years.

10. Well, I guess that's a good thing.
I would be afraid to share the same soil with these people. My skepticism was aroused when I read the rap "Baby got Baptism."

Really excellent satire...

14. Be afraid
You share the same soil with people a mere shade less nutty than those on that site. Otherwise, the usual first reaction couldn't be "jeebus, is this for real?!"

12. Anyone Who Doubts Evolution
Only needs a good look at the Chimp and many of his ilk. They all seem to have elongated arms where they seem to drag their knuckles behind them

19. Yet, in the dark ages
it was considered proof of the spontaneous generation of life when rats would appear out of the thin air under a basket inverted over some grain and carefully sealed around the edges to keep rats out.....

I guess you can have it any which way you want if you are a true believer!
