5. Relax.
I'm sure they were just taken to a flower garden where they can be properly thanked by the Iraqis for liberating them.

35 US soldiers captured in Falluja: mosques:
: Falluja (Iraq), Nov 8 :

Mosques in Iraq's restive city of Falluja announced Monday that rebel fighters inside the city have captured 35 US soldiers, reports Xinhua.

Loudspeakers at the mosques blared out the news as US forces were trying to penetrate the rebel-held city,

The news however could not be independently confirmed.

7. I heard about this on the radio. NPR, I think.
Since I don't get AAR in my area, I'm thankful for our local AM NPR affiliate. They carry BBC World Service all morning, so I actually have real news to listen to.

8. It's bogus
As an LBN moderator....here is the story

More than 24 hours ago, at approximately 2:00am Nov. 8th, the story was posted in LBN. The headline says 35 captured, but on further reading, what the article says is that a mosque is broadcasting that information on their loudspeakers.

There is no story from any mainstream news source that there really is a capture. While it could be true that the mosques are blaring this out on their speakers, there is no confirmation that there really are some soldier hostages.

In my opinion, there would be no reason to cover this up, especially by the foreign mainstream press, or even the US press. Such news would only enrage and bolster the US-Iraqi forces. The announcement on the loudspeakers is purely propaganda, in my opinion.

This same topic has been posted four times in LBN and has been locked four times. If it is posted again, it will be locked again.

9. Dont worry
It will be fine. They brought some christian rock to play at a tea dance at the mosque. Then they are going to have a little nondenominational prayer session before getting back to fighting.
