Their morals mean it doesn't matter what you do, it's how many times you claim your personal saviour will forgive your sins and smite the wicked heathens. Their morals allow one to be blissfully ignorant of taking responsiblity of one's actions. Their morals require that they point out every deviance to a pre-concieved norm that they possibly can. Their morals allow for denial. Their morals declare "the ends justify the means" - and that it doesn't matter what the ends are, as long as they look rightgeous...

My morals don't allow me to claim "the ends justify the means" - even if they do allow me to take the occasional short cut, I have to take full responsibility for whatever I do. My morals require that I think about the outcome of my actions. My morals do not allow me to blanketly catagorize people, ideas, and activities as "right" and "wrong" without considering the context of the items - my morals require that I use "nuance" - as what can be wrong in one situation can be right for another. My morals require that I consider the people and world around me whenever I talk or act. My morals require that if I want to complain about a problem, I put my money where my mouth is and try to find a way to fix it.
My morals require that I always try to "do unto others as I would have done unto me" and to always try to leave the world a better place before I'm done.

If it be immoral to be true to oneself instead of giving one's life up to make others "comfortable" in their own reality, than I am immoral.

with Jesse Jackson and Jerry Faldwell. I think Faldwell said something like we must hunt and kill our enemies in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I laugh at that everytime till I realize how sad that is.
