I start with this prayer because it seems there is a new religion in America these days, the religion of Bush. What brought this new religion to my attention was a very ironic and if not so serious, comedic comment of a family member. When I told him of my opposition to the war he said in a very angry and serious tone "You should read the Bible." I laughed and replied, "Wait a minute, do you mean the Bible that says 'Blessed are the peacemakers', 'Thou shalt not kill', and 'Love thy neighbor as thyself'? At this he continued a diatribe of psycho-babble not worthy of repeating and although I love him and we actually respect each other’s opinions (well maybe just respect the right to have the opinion) and agree to disagree, it was worth noting my revelation. The new religion, which is the right wing religion of Bush.


Anyway I will post an excerpt every other day because it is even more relevant now.
