and the "errors" ALWAYS favor the republicans. Why would "computer/software errors" be so consistently partisan?

And how many thousands of times has it gone undetectted?

I think that's like having a bank ATM with software that fails to debit withdrawals to the correct account number when a person hits a random button on the keypad at the end of the transaction.

3. How many total voters in America? What percent of voters would notice?
And of those who noticed, how many were in a hurry and ticked off from waiting so long and just said "f*ck it, I'm outta here"?

How many people can't even read and are too ashamed to admit it and get help in voting? If this happened to them, they would never know.

Snopes did a poor job on this one.

4. snopes can't report anything on it but minor stuff - beyond their scope.
after teams of investigators, and weeks or months of polling voters and getting sworn affadavits, then yes, they can make a call. Until then, anecdotal.

8. i was talking to a friend tonight and she said the same thing
happened to someone she knows here in oakland, ca. she voted for kerry, but the machine recorded as a vote for the unclean one. she had her vote corrected.
