Things to ask Fundamentalists, also known as Religious Totalitarians...
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 09:33 PM by Jade Fox
Let's nail them on their "values".

-Why are innocent people who are not Christians expendable to you?

-Why do you care so little about God's earth?

-Why do you blame the tensions and problems of you own family life
on homosexuals?

-Why do you care more about the unborn than the born who are not
Christians or who don't have your same values?

-Why are you so obsessed with other peoples sex lives?

-Why do you use your "saved" status to justify your own sins? Why do you
so easily forgive yourselves for what you condem in others?

-Why do you want to have our government become a religious totalitarianship?

-Why are you so unable to recognize the false prophets who call themselves
Christians simply so they can get your vote?

-Why have you abandoned your God-given free will and ability to think
for yourself?

-Why do you spend so little time practising Christian charity and so much
time trying to get that camel through the eye of the needle?

1. The training to become a Fundamentalist
disregards self inspection and focuses on the prize.

2. I shall ask them nothing.
I know them well. Spent many summers in SC, dealing with them trying to drill into my head.

I will work to place them in perspective commensurate to their numbers in society.

4. Asking these "christians" presumes that they're willing to debate.
And they aren't, because they have all of the right answers.

They're great questions, but actually asking them of the fundies would only give you aggravation.

6. I want to give THEM aggravation and stop giving them a free pass....
which they very much grant themselves.

9. I really think that most of them are incapable of being aggravated.

Again, regardless of your logic, they're right and you're not, because somehow, God has told them as much.

Case in point: bush. (Okay, he's medicated, but he's convinced that he's infallible.)

15. They need to be repeatedly forced to justify their behavior....
I work with Christians, and a lot of them seem remarkably naive. I think
many have gotten all their info in life from their churchs, and have never
even thought of stuff like the above.

5. Holy bat shit, Batman! I just figured it out.
We are regressing back wards past our well intended, brilliant, and, yes, flawed founding fathers to our true roots, the Puritan/Pilgrim exodus from Europe.

Why were the Puritans 'encouraged' to leave England and the Netherlands? They were so intolerant of other religions, they made everybody uncomfortable and they were encouraged to "seek opportunities elsewhere." We moved past their moronic intolerance but now it's back.

Coming to a theater near your THE PILGRIMS REVENGE

Corporate America controls the media and we get manufactured news.
Corporate America now controls the voting machines and we get manufactured elections.

16. You've got an interesting point...
Read "The Scarlet Letter" to find out just have hateful the Puritans were,
if you haven't already.

I think the Puritans are also responsible for this country's, well, Puritanism.
Other Christian-based cultures are not so obsessed with sex that they
see it as the worst way of sinning like we seem to here in the US.

17. Great book.
My family touts a Pilgrim ancestor, John Howland. I heard the name enough at family reunions to pique my curiosity. I read all about him and found out he committed the first murder in the Plymouth colony. He and Miles Standish killed someone who tried to get a piece of their exclusive trading business with the Native Americans. They were cleared of any wrong doing. I'm adopted so I'm unable to claim the genetic lineage of America's first Soprano-like crime family. Too bad the Vikings didn't take hold here first. They would have crushed the Pilgrims and we'd be Sweden west.

18. Sweden West..LOL! Don't we wish....
Facinating stuff about your family. It reminds me of what the motivation
to come to this country was for many Europeans: it was that or jail.

7. Why do you think God supports killing 100,000 civilians in a war?
How can you be so self-rightous to believe God would bless your support of murdering civilians? Would bless the playing of "Burn the Fucker Down" on the CD sound systems of your war machines while your sons drive them into civilian areas with the aim to kill anything that moves? Would bless the killing of dozens of people walking down the street, using remote control missles, unable to determine if those people are warriors or civilians? Would bless your fat ass driving in your gas hog SUV while people are dying over the oil that feeds your wasteful, self-centered ignorant life?

8. Let me try to answer those for you...
-Why are innocent people who are not Christians expendable to you?

They are not saved. If they were saved then they would be god's children and therefore, a protected class.

-Why do you care so little about God's earth?

God always takes care of his creation. Anyway, the rapture is coming soon, therefore it really doesn't matter.

-Why do you blame the tensions and problems of you own family life
on homosexuals?

I am NOT a homosexual, so stop saying that!!

-Why do you care more about the unborn than the born who are not
Christians or who don't have your same values?

Because the unborn are pure and free from sin and have not been tainted by satan, exposed to homosexuals or passed through a woman's dirty parts.

-Why are you so obsessed with other peoples sex lives?

Because sex is evil and a sin and anyone who is enjoying it is clearly inhabited by the devil.

-Why do you use your "saved" status to justify your own sins? Why do you so easily forgive yourselves for what you condem in others?

Because we are saved, and therefore god has preemptively forgiven all of our trespasses. Those who are not saved have not been forgiven.

-Why do you want to have our government become a religious totalitarianship?

Because that was the intention of the founding fathers. It's obvious if you read Thomas Jefferson, who said, "I want our government to become a religious totalitarianship"

-Why are you so unable to recognize the false prophets who call themselves Christians simply so they can get your vote?

If they are Christians they have been saved, and therefore even if they lie about being christian, they have been forgiven for doing so.

-Why have you abandoned your God-given free will and ability to think
for yourself?

God guides me in all that I do. When he is not guiding me, he is guiding his son on earth, George W. Bush, who will then tell me what to do and think.

-Why do you spend so little time practising Christian charity and so much time trying to get that camel through the eye of the needle?

As the bible says, "He who is without vast riches shall be cast in stone". Or, something like this.

Praise the Lord!!

14. "Founding Fathers?" Don't you mean our founding SLAVEHOLDERS?
How do you drive a patriotic Evangelical "Murrican into paroxysms of internalized frustration and rage? Point out that our Founding Slaveholders (and do make sure that you emphasize the word "Slaveholders") were less than willing to practice essential New Testament Xtian charity to their Xtianized African-American slaves.
