Many Canadians, like me and many from other countries have been so heartened by finding this forum of wonderful, open-hearted Americans, who do not share the narrow outlook of George Bush!...Here in Canada, as in most of the rest of the world, we were praying for Bush to be defeated...It is hard to believe that in 4 years, the good will we all felt towards your country because of 9/11 (in Canada's case it is also because we have always been good neighbours ), has been so eroded by the reckless actions of the maniac now in the White House....I'm still praying that some sort of voter machine fraud will be proven, and John Kerry will yet become president....... But in any case, I want to tell you all how much I admire your great spirit and hard work.....Hang in there....:loveya:

8. It seems people are working on proving the voting machines were

rigged!....God, I hope they can prove it....I've read stuff on the internet and heard some stuff on the radio....It is hard for me to believe that the exit polls were all wrong this time....I heard Tucker Carlson and Bob Novack on CNN, on Tuesday say they had talked on the phone to Republican contacts who told them that Kerry was going to win...What happened to change that???

14. I just realized....I hope I didn't sound like we blame

the American people for what Bush has done....All our polls show that we like the American people (in the high 80s or 90 per cent), but Bush is somewhere around 15%....:)

We aren't ALL like 'IT.' I can't even bring myself to honor 'IT' by calling 'IT' by name.

If I may share a story. Today I met a man from Kenya. He's been here four years. He has a degree from his country yet couldn't find a decent job here. He and I spoke of the recent election, he was also disheartened, but seemed to find some solace in just being able to talk about it w/ someone that shared his feelings.

I can't tell you the shame I feel that he came here for opportunity and a different life only to find this fascist in charge of things AND he isn't leaving soon. (sigh).

What you've said here, really made my night. Thanks again! :)

before finding DU my outlook of Americans was pretty negative in general.
