I was just sitting here thinking about all this stuff going on.. the campaigning before the election, the election itself, and now the investigations into possible voter fraud. It's almost surreal in a way.
I've come a REALLY long way, ask anyone who knows me. Even just two years ago I didn't know shit about politics. I was in Germany in 2000 when Bush was elected, and it didn't really mean squat to me at all. And when the currently appointed was first talking about going after the terrorists, it sounded like a good idea. I remember being impressed by his conviction and steadfastness, which is one of the reasons right-wingers like him--scary, huh? But interesting in a way, because it just goes to show that people CAN change. Now I've learned that his conviction doesn't mean shit when everything he does is for the wrong reasons, and every move he makes is for the sole intention of world domination, starting with the malleable minds of his own citizens (51% of them, anyway).
I owe a lot to the people here for opening my eyes. It's scary to see what the Bush regime is doing, but at least I can see it for what it is now.
Thanks to all of you.
