rock the boat. Yes, and they also cheerled this nation to war for ratings and to sell newspapers and magazines!

Our democracy cannot continue to function with an uninformed electorate and a nonfunctioning media. Yet, this is exactly the position we find ourselves in.

How do we get around this? The communication and organization afforded by Al Gore's internet and by sites like DU--that's how!

8. Met RFK, Jr. election eve

I attended a lecture by RFK, Jr. on election eve and he was electrifying. If you need a reason to get fired up again, PLEASE read his book Crimes Against Nature. It will make your blood boil. Bush's (non) environmental policies are killing 24,000 Americans a year -- that's eight "September the 11ths" a year!

I can only read a few chapters of the book at a time because it details so thoroughly the the bloodless actions of the criminals who are now "in charge" of our environment.
