I'm wondering if libertarians are feeling good about taxes, guns, etc. or afraid of religious legislation.

1. Our town admin
whom I've been bragging about as having run the fairest election I can imagine, is a Libertarian. His clear goal was to count every vote, and he went to great lengths to be sure that that happened.

I haven't talked with him since we left the Town Hall late Tuesday night, so I don't know how he's feeling right now, but I'm quite sure he is NOT happy about bush's claim to victory.

2. I am
a libertarian and I feel good about taxes, guns and TERRIFIED about the erosion of civil rights and the rising visibility of Christianity (or any other religion) in our government.

Contrary to the stereotype, many, if not most Libertarians are not Repubs that smoke dope. Most, are socially progressive, fiscally conservative constitutionalists. Unfortunately, the extreme wing of the Libertarian party, that pretty much espouses a form of anarchy, is the one that gets the most press.

I do not personally know a single Libertarian that is in support of what is going on, and further... there is a huge divide between the radical right fundies and the Libertarians... there always has been.

4. My friends husband feels the same way
Happy about guns and taxes, miserable about everything else, and not happy overall.

3. I was wondering the very same thing myself.
If their all aboout freedom, how on earth will they tolerate the new theocratic fascist rule. Surely that's got to be a lot worse than liberals wanting the give grandma and grandpa the social security.
