What the hell is going on in Bouler CO?
It seems that according to AAR 80 students are having a sit in/sleep in the library, demanding that the state's Repub and Dem leaders meet with them. Have faith folks, it IS beginning.

4. Maine went blue, otherwise I KNOW our ES would do it! I have never
seen so much interest in civics in such young citizens before.

Students at Colo. High School Protest Bush

Associated Press

BOULDER, Colo. - About 85 high school students upset about the nation's direction were camping out in the school library, demanding an audience with Republican leaders.

Students began their protest Thursday and school officials said they could stay through Friday when representatives of their Democratic congressman, U.S. Rep. Mark Udall, and U.S. Senator-elect Ken Salazar, were expected to visit.

The students said they also wanted to meet with thier superintendent's representatives along with Republicans Gov. Bill Owens and U.S. Rep. Marilyn Musgrave.

Some of the students left telephone messages with Republican leaders.

"We want them to reassure us that our fears are misguided and that the government is doing everything in its power to prevent our futures from being destroyed," said senior Brian Martens, who wore a hand-lettered T-shirt which said he was the "senior executive of the subcommittee on protesting stuff."

9. True
There have been protests there. Seems that citizens feel thet there are uncounted votes that could flip Colorado.

I think stories like these will be irresistable to the media soon. Not soon enough for me though. Let's blast this stuff to them.

10. Interesting.
Good for them. Flashes of my own High School experience during Nixon. How about that. May it grow from here. High School kids in Boulder, YOU ROCK.

11. Yay! I love being a Boulderite
Believe it or not, our ballots are still being counted... we use pen-and-paper and we can't be rushed. The votes are overwhelmingly for Kerry -- they call Boulder the Berkeley in the mountains -- and there was some talk about the final count being affected.

Good for these fine students!

I am fearful for these students.
