concede everything to the republicans. Let them get their way on every issue, let the country slip. It will be a painful and hard 4 years, but will solidify how horrible these people's plans are. Do we have the stomach for it? I don't know.. I know I can stomach it, but I wouldnt be giving up much. Maybe take a few key issues that will have very long term effects to filibuster, such as supreme court nominations if that comes up, but besides these things let them get their way. Even if their plans were sound, having this kind of power will ultimately lead to a lot of pork in every bill. What other choice is there? At least for the first two years.

3. It looks like I will get richer

and I was pretty well off to begin with. But I am not happy about the middle class disappearing. It was going to be worth it to me to make less money to see measures begin to be taken to restore the middle class. In the long run, this is not sustainable

But that's not gonna happen. We are headed toward feudalism and the only question now is how much firepower will be needed to keep the serfs out of the castles or anywhere near them. But, as I say, in the 21st century and especially in this country, the firepower is spread around a lot so it is not going to be sustainable.

Heck, look at Iraq. It has no army and is conducting a fairly successful guerrilla insurrection against the self-proclaimed greatest superpower in world history.

Okay, I'm not rich, but I'm working for a company that is doing very indeed in the Bush economy. My benefits are going up, salary is up, new bonus plan is kicking extra income.

Meanwhile, I have no debt, no children to subsidize, no elderly parents to support. So I'm doing good.

Which means I could afford -- and would be willing -- to pay more into this society to keep it strong and healthy. It's the right thing to do.

5. As Bill Clinton Did in '95!

He let the rethuglicans VASTLY over interpret the results as a sigh of a massive move to the right. He gave them the rope and they happily put it around their neck and JUMPED from the gallows with idiot grins on their faces.

They won by running away from the issues and their record. This does not mean, however, that the problems they created will go away.

My wife and I are heartbroken. My 4 year old son cried when we told him that Kerry had lost. He has been a hero to me since 1971 and I believt that he would have been a GREAT president.

That being said hgowever, maybe this wasn't such a bad one to lose. While a party is never better served by defeat than victory, at least the people who created this mess will have to face the shit storm when it hits. I see a good future for us as a party. There are many bright spots on the horizon.

Already they are reacting to the moron's vote total (exceeding reagan's) as a monumental endorsement. They seem unwilling or incapable of seeing that there is a major difference between *'s 51% and reagan's 59%, 49 state victory.

This Hubris WILL come back and bite them in the collective ass.

BTW, many moderate r's may just by very tired of the heavy handedness of the neo-cons. John Kerry was endorsed by an Eisenhower, a Rewagan and several of *'s cousins. This is borne of an awareness that the r's are TOO EXTREME! It did not pay off on 11/2/04. It will in the future. And perhaps that future is not too far off.

I aggree, that akido, would take the opponent's momentum and throw
them with it, so as they're pushing to destroy opposition, offer
none. Its the dictator's country, not mine. However, given that
strategy, all people who will be imprisoned or killed by the puke
police state should head for the hills... like the british did
during the bombing of london during WW2, send the families and kids
out to safe haven in the countryside, with only necessary core
people staying engaged with the enemy.

The USA could collapse totally in to bankruptcy within 10 years
and force a whole new constutiton, or a breakup of the country.
I think that akido will take us to this brink, in order to restore
