It's stupid to start anywhere else.

Right from scratch. We have to get a fair accuarte vote.

2. That new start should include attaching the vote to our social
security number. No multiple voting, no sneaky shit like tossing your vote or changing it.

6. Somehow
we need a way to authenticate votes - we need open source code in these computers. The way it is now, even if we had paper receipts, the machines could be rigged to record something different than what's printed. We need to take control of the voting process out of the hands of private companies like Diebold.
A method must be developed that is transparent and verifiable.

7. My belief is there are many dems in mourning right now, but right now
is the best time to start getting some organization to while the organizations and conntacts we have in place can be used. For instance the rabid response teams that were set up on the net etc.

8. exactly. other night...my twin pillars were fair media and fair vote
so...we need to use all of our tools in the tool box on the media. HUGE targeted write-in campaigns to media is a start...getting journalists to break free from the corporate media monolith and become stars in more independent media is important.

getting a liberal voice that extends to cable news and entertainment network is important. A good solid network with around 5 hours of solid news and commentary programs and the rest with entertainment.

we need to pressure the FCC. I'm really not sure how to do that with the GOP majority there. But there's GOT to be a way.

and yes...you are right. Until ALL VOTING in ALL PRECINCTS is recorded in the same exact way and tabulated with verified receipts available for recounts...it is a sham.

11. We were the most organized and unified as I have ever witnessed
so this is hard to take. But we if we can hold that unity, we can get this voting system fixed.

12. you got it. Let's keep the energy and momentum. A lot of us
live in states with Dem governors and legislatures. We have a real chance there to get this thing started.
