Something that hurt...the clerk at the grocery store this afternoon
The man told his story to my BF and me while we were at our new store. He is nearly 40 years old, and says he WILL NEVER VOTE AGAIN. He had some very choice things to say about Shrub. He lives in Florida and feels his voice has been stolen. How many other people on our side, who have had their voices silenced, will consider this to be the last straw and politically withdraw. That hurts. It hurts BAD.

1. I can understand where he is coming from
Why bother to vote -- especially when there are so many road blocks thrown up?

The real power is in WHO counts the vote and WHO programs the computer and WHO is hacking the totals.

Unless a complete overhaul of the voting system is undertaking not very many people are going to bother to vote. And they can't be blamed -- because their vote will probably be tossed out.

3. I feel powerful because I let my voice be heard here..what about those
like this young man who feel like his government has failed him? I hope these bullies pay for what they did.

4. Next time maybe instead of GOTV
We should Boycott the Vote? I'm curious to know how they would the "fix" it if they held an election and no one came?

2. I feel the same way....
I am a Blue state 56 year old retired Union Boilermaker that has never voted for a repug in my life. Put a lot of effort into this election and feel like I've been let down by my country and my party. There are two Americas, of this there can be no doubt, and in this climate I fear it will only get worse. I am getting out of the game. I will never vote or participate in politics again. Good luck to the young and the vibrant among you and I really hope you can do something that my generation has failed to do.

6. Greekspeaks BF here!
Another thing he said is that he does not trust the United States anymore! How sad is that? But I can't blame him.

Off topic: I'm not able to post any new threads anymore. A message comes up that I haven't posted enough to start new topics. This just happened earlier today after I had started several and I read that several other people are having the same trouble. Anyone know what's going on?

7. i feel the same as that man
This was the first time I voted and I was sooo fired up, even here in Texas when I was flat out told it wasn't going to count, but hearing all these early voting stories really moved me. Now I feel like mine & other votes didn't count. I feel sooo let down, this is just so hard. Why vote, they are going to steal it anyway?

8. I think those in the electronic voting states should...
show up to the polls with their own ballots, or absentee ballots to drop off at the polling place, and refuse to use the voting machines.

9. I was there for a short time this morning
I told my husband who is already there, that I was done! I have since regained confidence and will fight on and vote every chance I get. I will get my husband back on board with me! I am so sorry the other side feels no remorse for what they have done to silence this man and many like him on our side, which is the only way they can 'win'. Like Bill Clinton said, when Democrats vote Democrats win. The other side knows this all too well.

11. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Go to http://nov3.us and sign up for updates. Write letters to the editors. Network with your fellow JK/JE volunteers and go to your city clerk to demand an accurate count, paper ballots, and so on. And take the grocery store clerk along with you.

Channel it - we have power, we just need to direct it.

NGU.

14. That hurts too
I wasn't crying until NOW reading people's pain, which is somehow much worse than my own.

I have to believe that somehow we will prevail. WE know something is wrong. This election was stolen.

15. Cry now...but make sure to turn those tears into action after you are done
We have got to get and stay empowered, however you do it. Starting today, I am taking a few actions. I am going to cut my consumption a lot. I am going to find out businesses and services whose owners and administrators donate to Republicans, and I am going to stop using them whenever possible. I am going to write a lot more letters, and do more in the community. I am also going to talk until I am silenced.

So yes, cry your bitter tears. You have earned the right to them. But after you are done, channel your energy for good!
