A plan of action

We need a plan to start a movement to take back our country. I would like to suggest the following as a starting point:

1. Do not remove your Kerry/Edwards bumper sticker(s). We need to show the world that we did not participate in the election of these thieves and liars.

2. Get a DU bumper sticker and proudly display it next to your Kerry/Edwards one.

3. Join the ACLU, since we are going to need a strong organization to watch our backs.

4. Stop listening to cable news outlets or any show with talking heads, except for 60 Minutes. They are the ones who truly screwed us (I'm 60 years old so it is hard to say fucked with us)

5. Start referring to ourselves proudly as Liberals or Progressives. The bastards took what was once a proud label and turned it around. We need to take it back. I, for one, am going to by T-shirts for my friends and family that say "LIBERAL AND PROUD OF IT"

6. Start meeting with other DUers in your area. Then start expanding this group to other like-minded folks.

7. Continue writing LTTEs often.

8. Get involved with your local Democratic party now - don't wait for the next election.

9. Start now preparing for the 2006 mid-term elections. Watch every evil thing the repugs do and get the word out.

10. Be proud of who you are. Look around at your fellow democrats and take comfort in the fact that we are all nice people and we are intelligent people who care about more than just our pocketbooks.

11. And finally, for now, be proud the WE DID NOT DRINK THE KOOL AID.
