I have been working three years on my dad and my brother. My dad has long been Republican. I had them convinced, then a consultant (and my dad's friend) from Kentucky came around. I was certain he had changed their minds back.
This afternoon, my dad called. He had been meeting with a customer all day and hadn't heard the news. He asked who had won. Then, he said "Well, I did my part. I tried to help Kerry. I voted for him." When he got back to the office, I gave him a big hug and told him thanks.
I haven't seen my brother today. But, another lady said he was saying this morning that he supported Kerry too.
That means so much to me, because I worked on them so hard. And, I sure believed the Kentucky guy had spoiled it for me. I am so proud that they did the right thing and refused to listen to the "Democrats want to take your guns away" crap.
