2. His son's behavior
is no more relevant to the campaign than Dean's son's behavior. There are plenty of great reasons to oppose Barbour this isn't one.

3. You don't get it
it was booze, not pot. No matter that alcohol has been a factor in far more traffic accidents, incidents of violence, etc, etc. It is legal (for adults, that is; guess we should wink at underage drinkers), and pot is so dangerous even the study of the possible positive medicinal uses of the plant must be banned.

<note to lurking freepers-this is sarcasm!>

4. This kind of story is unimportant.
This muckracking by liberals is in such bad taste, and truly shows how mean-spirited they are.

Of course, it WOULD be important, if the subject was Roger Clinton or Billy Carter or Howard Dean’s son or...

5. This is not fodder for our fires.
Don't like him but his son is off limits.

8. also think it is worth noting
nobody's saying launch a campaign around it. but the hypocrisy IS worth noting.

by the way, he was a repub donor in 1999 (age 19, i guess). so he is a responsible adult in his own right, eligible for his OWN criticism.

(and the opensecrets.org has improved their donor search a bit, if you haven't been there lately)
