7. Bullshit!
Our healthcare system has its problems but it's hardly creaking. It isn't going anywhere. And we have higher taxes than the USA, but I don't hear anyone in Canada complaining about it. It pays for things like ... healthcare.

5. Start now for Canadian citizenship in 2008
The article says full citizenship can take up to four years. All the more reason to start now. We could be citizens by the time this lunacy surfaces again in 2008!

6. You don't need citizenship to get in...
You need either a work permit or acceptance for permanent residency status. The latter requires that you meet some standards, generally tied to education, and have a certain amount of money in hand upon entry, to be sure you won't be a burden on the state.
