I'm so very very sad...
A large chunk of America sent a message this election, and I hate the message it sent.

Preemptive, unwarranted wars are not OK!
GLBT individuals are not second-class citizens!
Losing jobs is more important than a vague notion of morality!
Lying to the American public is not acceptable!
Having a complacent media is not alright!
Chuckling as we piss all over our foreign relations is not tolerable!
Allowing a man that cannot string together a cohesive sentence to lead a country of almost 300 million people is not right!

I'm stunned, in a way, and then, in many ways, I am not. I had inklings that this country was becoming not only divided, but also slowly slipping out of my liberal, progressive, proudly Democratic hands. Ok. Well, now I am armed with the truth. And in a few days, I can act on this truth. Right now, however, I just need to mourn for a bit.

1. You and me both.
What are you gonna do?

I'm looking for ideas myself.

I think the German fellow interviewed on PBS said it best:

"I'm dissappointed for America."

2. Just not sure yet....
I feel that I will need to act. Today, though, I feel like the wind got knocked outta my sails. I was in school all day. This is the first that I read that Kerry had conceeded. It was like a punch in the gut... though I would have preferred the punch in the gut.

YOu are not in line with American values no matter who you are.

I find that to be a compliment from people like that.

Fuck you Bushies. Fuck you

4. We need to fix the education system, or the future electorate will
be full of even more sheeple.

5. I can't get any work done today.
I listened to Al Franken hoping it would help.

It didn't.

I don't know whether to cry or fight. How could this happen!?!

Tomorrow will be better. :-(
