If I hold a passport to one EU nation
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 03:09 PM by Changenow
can I work anywhere in the EU?

While exploring my options to emigrate I've learned that I'm eligible for a dual citizenship in Greece (grandfather was an immigrant). But since the only Greek word I know is baklava, I'm wondering if anyone here knows if that citizenship would allow me to work elsewhere in the EU, like Ireland?

5. No it seems that if a grandparent was a citizen
it isn't difficult to obtain citizenship to some countries, including Greece. Ireland is a little tougher, if your grandparent was a citizen you are eligible for citizenship, but not children born before your application.

2. Yes you can...
if you have a passport to any country, then you can work anywhere inthe EU...if you are a resident without passport, and have a work visa in one country then it is also easier to work in any EU country.

3. Yes. If you are a citizen of an EU country you should be able to work...

If you can get citizenship in greece then do it.

Any EU citizen can work in damn near ANY european nation. They don't even have to be EU - they can be EEA. You can reside anywhere you want. It's somewhat like the united states, except with most of the power left to the nations.

EU citizenship is like gold. Get it if you can. Many people would (and do) die trying to.
