where is the 'unity'? as a child of the 60's i've never felt so hopeless in my life-

i believed- i really believed in the integrety of this country- and having found DU and Move-on and SO MANY 'real-people' who were willing to give thier energy, time, money and effort to restore hope to this ailing 'nation' i cannot believe the results.....

My 21yr. old son, who has worked since he was 16- my 11 yr. old son, who believes 'the world is over'- and actually campaigned for Kerry at his school- telling all the teachers as i picked him up yesterday- VOTE !!!
GO KERRY!!! (most of whom were devoted Kerry- backers already)

i haven't got the physical or mental energy to fight through four more years of Bush- and i now have no hope of having any kind of help for my health issues- (unless i sign over the only inheritance i have left to give my children- our farm,- as a single mom, who is in-eligible for medicare)

i'm sorry to whine- i'm just beyond lost- beyond hopeless-
i'm so proud that my homestate- (NH) showed that as foolish and stubborn as we granite heads can be- we aren't stupid-
but in the end- to what end?

how do we go on???
where do we find that secret casche of 'hope for the future'?

i'd welcome ANY encouraging thoughts-

2. United we stand divided we fall

I don't see this election doing anything for bring this country back together. I am concerned about how things will be over the next 4 years. * will no longer have to worry about reelection, they own both senate and house. Basically they can do what they want at this point. I'm I being overly dramatic? I just don't know. It was an important election that doesn't seem to have turned our way. People voted against their own best interests and let wedge issues scare them like all the gay marriage questions on the ballot. They legistated morality. I believe the Supreme court appointments may set us back years. We will be forced, spoon fed, and mandated the extremes of the right. Unfortunatley they were more motivated and the majority of American bought into the smear and fear.
