the horror of a 2nd term of nazi rule
it's almost too much to comprehend, the neocons, with no regard for being nicey nice to get re-elected, unleashed, unbound by any restraint or obstacle.

the last four years will have been a day at disneyland in comparison.
no way can this nation can survive 4 more years of the nazis. something's got to give. our work is only beginning.

1. I agree mopaul.
I cannot believe this country is actually going for this. I am still in shock. When I woke up I could hear the somber voices on the news so I knew it wasn't over. The fact that they're saying *shrub actually is winning the popular vote doesn't give me any warm fuzzies for where this country is headed.

2. What you said
The horror.

Not only our nation, but the stability of the world hangs in the balance. I do not think I need to go into details here.

3. Absolutely
We're all doomed. If we're all not in "re-education" camps by March it'll be a miracle.

4. Last night on the History Channel ...
... they were showing old footage of Nazi Germany. Coincidence?

7. Coincidence? HA!
The replays of nazi war footage has been their favorite programming
since the origin of time. Heck, they should be called the
"war channel" and leave history to people who know better.

5. I'm stunned
There is absolutely no other way to describe it. I was so upbeat yesterday, completely confident that this America was disgusted with the lies, the fascism and the despicable rule of these neocons. How could I be so completely wrong? I have been questioning for hours on end, "how could my fellow Americans do this"? I do not understand this and I don't think I ever will.

And ITA, I just don't know how I can survive 4 more years of this? I'm listening to AAR and they keep saying "don't mourn", "stay engaged" - this is not over. And that may be true - but we built such momentum in this election. Kerry had the major endorsements, he won the debates, the lies of the BFEE were exposed for this nation and the world - yet they vote that moron back in? I'm not buying it.

I just want to understand how things could get this bad. How? I just will not ever be able to understand it - or to live with it.

8. I feel exactly the same way.
I don't know how the Nation will survive four more years and I certainly can't fathom how 58 million Americans could endorse him for another term.

I am not too happy with my Country today.

14. How could this happen?
I don't understand any of it and have trouble calling * voters "fellow Americans." This is what those who live in fear and hatred want, this is what they have gotten and the coming years will break the backs of the ignorant *ites, yet make the core supporters (total human garbage) wealthier. I have no compassion left for poor, ignorant, redneck * supporters; they can all drown in their own bile from this point on. When these idiots or their children are drafted to fight *'s illegal wars, so be it, it's what they asked for. I'm tapped out on caring about what happens to any of them.

6. We have witnessed another Coup d' etat
I never thought I would see one in this country, let alone two.
The next four years are going to be very scary indeed.

9. They aren't nazis, they aren't that ideological, they are robber barons
leading a large number of ill-educated who enjoy simple answers for their simple minds.

Those in control seek only more money (more) power, and opportunity for their priviledged class.

The ignorant, are only ignorant. Please forgive them, they know not what they do.

11. Perhaps our work is over
There is no sand castle to stomp on, if nobody builds one.

You are now part of the rebel alliance underground, and perhaps
its time to visit a gun show to take advantage of the second
amendment. I think that the next 4 years will see several political
fringe groups deciding that "talk talk and vote vote" is getting
them nowhere, and direct means are necessary.

12. Alliance
How does one join with other members of the alliance underground?

I don't know how we can possibly survive - and if I even want to - under another rule of the BFEE.

So, so sad.

and I stand by it more than ever now

He is the anti-christ.

He's getting a nightmarishly surreal free ride and we can't jump off

17. 2nd term of Nazi Rule
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 07:26 AM by Danmel
I really must be a masochist because along with working almost non stop on the Kerry campaign, I have been reading "The Plot Against America" by Phillip Roth, which has as it's premise a Charles Lindbergh victory over FDR in 1940 and a descent into Fascism in America.

Has some parallels, no? It is a very good read, if you can manage anything now. To add to my psychosis, next in my book pile is "Chain of Command: From 9-11 to Abu Ghraib" by Seymour Hersh. Maybe I should just start reading Danielle Steele and putting Thomas Kincaide pictures up in my house and try to become a "real American". I could even get some Precious Moments figurines.

Maybe we should start a DU book group. I'm too new to post anything let, but what do you think of that idea?
