1. I've got news for you,
The provisional ballots were a "bone" tossed to us in HAVA.. They never intended for them to count, and most won't.. If someone's name is not in the book on election day, it's not gonna be there when the provisional ballots are challenged.. It's just a trinket to make people THINK they are voting, and to make them go away, instead of making a scene in the polling place.

The provisional ballots, and the early voting were all about keeping the partisans happy, and AWAY from the polling places on election day... Do we really know where the "early votes" went?? Can we be assured that they did not just "vanish", and the only ones that counted were the ones on election day? Who's doing an audit?

The most eager and reliable voters were among the early voters. If they had NOT early voted, would their votes have counted?? Who knows..

That's the problem.. We have no paper to look at, no marks on paper, to determine the intent..

Watch for the whole "recount" issue to be dispensed with in state legislatures.. From now on, we will rely on untrusted machines that may have "built in" margin-fixer software.. The repubes have "validated" their popularity with their blowout tonight.,.so who's to say they are not the party of preference??

2. This is so true.
In retrospect, democrats should not have voted early or absentee. But how could anyone have known?
