It's pretty obvious that NO MATTER HOW BIG THE TURNOUT
most polling places were NOT prepared to accommodate the increased traffic generated in a volatile election..

Of course "most" people will just say..ho-hum who got fired on Apprentice?

Those of us who warned(or tried to warn) about the vapor-votes will not be vindicated, since the * people will still have total control of how the story plays out in the media..

All the "news people" who believed the polls and thought they could FINALLY start to show some spine, will crawl back into their shells, and beg forgiveness from the putrid prince..

We all know that SOMETHING must be done, but we cannot initiate it, since we will not have the reins of power.

What's really sad is that citizens of the US should be able to vote for president, no matter where they are, no matter who challenges them. Citizens' votes should never be nullified because of an unchecked box, or a technicality.. We pretend to promote democracy, yet we are so willing to deny voting rights to our own citizens..

If there is still money left in the coffers of the 527's and other organizations, they would be wise to solve THIS problem before 2006, or we will just get hammered again..

Identification seems to be the bugaboo, so THAT should be number one..Get these people properly identified, properly registered, and help them understand how the system works.. Voter suppression is all about the "next" election, since the fired up voter of today whose efforts were for naught, is the apathetic voter of the NEXT election..(and the republicans KNOW this)

Our technology has betrayed us. We rely too heavily on it, and we don't even understand it (most of us). The fact that we (most of us) don't trust it. only widens the divide.

I am heartsick for our country, and for the rest of the world. They spoke out, and will now pay the price... We have a vindictive despot in charge for 4 more years (most likely), and it seems as though no matter how many we bring to the polls, their votes will always be diluted.
