Generations of Voters
In general, younger voters are going Kerry and older voters going more Bush. In 30 years, when those younger voters are older, will they still be voting democrat, or do ppl turn republican when they get older?

1. I'm an older voter
at 54, I'm still a liberal progressive. The first year I could vote was '72, and my vote was for McGovern. This year my vote was for Kerry. In 1960, my mother voted for Nixon, and considered herself a Republican for years thereafter. But I know for a fact that she's voting Dem today, and she's 86! So I don't think age is really a factor. Hasn't been in my family.

2. I know, I'm totally generalizing...
And everyone is individual. But tonight for example, they're saying voters 18-30 in Ohio are voting Kerry at a much larger % than the average. And the older (forget the age bracket) are showing larger % for Bush than average. I'm wondering if those Gen Y (is that what they're called?) voters will tend to remain more Dem., or aging turns more ppl Republican. Do you know what I mean?

3. That Depends on Whether We Find a Cure for Senility

Anyone who is not a liberal when they are young has no heart.
Anyone who is not a conservative when they are old has avoided senility.
