If Bush wins, does it spell disaster for the Republican party?
Honestly, with another 4 years of Bush in office doing God knows what, how long do you think it will take the GOP to regain their credibility?

They are spawning a whole generation of Democrats as we speak, digging their own grave so to speak.

3. If he gets another 4 years it spells disaster for America.
doesn't matter what party. It will be very ugly I believe. there is no way that the people of this country are going to stand by and let him win. There are to many people with nothing to loose, because they have lost everything in the last 4 years.

4. Honestly, the Republican Party is in big trouble.
I feel sorry for the true conservative Republicans, who are respectable. Their party has been seized by the reactionary neo-conservatives and they apparently can't get it back. Perhaps they should vote for Kerry just to weaken the neo-cons.

5. Do not underestimate the power
of the religious right.

These people are a major player, and they want to have a say in this game.

They love W because he's born again and that's so freaking' dangerous.

They will excuse him anything because he loves Jesus.

I wish they would settle down, and realize that not everyone believes in the same things that they do.

7. Well...
Hopefully it would mean that we could get control of the House or Senate, at least. I can't imagine how the Repugs could keep control of all that given how much they are hated.

10. In many ways the Bush gang
reminds me of the British Columbia Socreds, the most corrupt band of conservative thieves and liars probably ever seen in Canadian politics. It was just stupid evil eating its own tail during the rein of its last major Premier, vander zalm, until there was nothing left and the party imploded in the early 90's.

Until Bush & co I have never witnessed such a disgusting pack of liars and criminals at work. And Bush of course holds a far more powerful and dangerous office. But as brash and arrogant and bush/cheney-like as they were in thinking they were somehow untouchable they fell hard when they fell.

Here's wishing the same fate on Bush and the neocons, if not the entire GOP.

8. Hate to be a pessimist
When the chimp won four years ago I naively thought that the administration would take a more conciliatory stance and unite the American people and the government. After all, he did not win by a landslide, he lost the popular vote and was installed by the supreme court.

Obviously, that was not to be. The arrogance of the neocons precludes any inclination for cooperation. If the chimp wins again by a narrow margin, expect more of the same. Unfortunately, unless 50% of the USA gets a brain transplant augmented with a moral backbone, we can expect an American dark age.

13. Too tired
Sorry, I'm too tired to link all the appropriate links to Neocon. But, in brief, Neocon refers to Neo-conservative, a political dogma supported by Bush and Co which supports Americas dominance in the world theater as the only superpower to include such things as nation building, preemptive strikes etc. The doctrine supporting the Neocon delusion goes back decades, long before the 911 excuse for its implementation. A web search will bring to countless articles regarding the subject.

I have to back to my TIVo of Bill Maher talking to the nut hole Ann Coulter. Boy is she a crazy ass nut case, damn ugly women. The inner rot destroys the depth of her skin.

14. Neoconservatism 101
This seems a decent primer:
Link

I would add to it a mention of Leo Strauss as he is looked up to in the neoconservative movement.

Personally I only use the term to refer to people such as Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz etc. who have either described themselves as neocons or belong to a neoconservative organization like the American Enterprise Institute and the Project for the New American Century. Others however have come to use it as a term of derision in the same way liberal and conservative are used as such.

The PNAC in particular -- which currently holds the Executive branch as Cheney, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld and other Bush Administration members are part of the group -- is dangerous but I've lost all my good links so you'll either have to search out info for yourself or wait for someone else who does have relevant links handy. Anyway, the PNAC has as its goal preservation of American military and economic hegemony into the new century by whatever means necessary, making it "the American century." The means of this is most notably controling the sources of oil China and Europe will need if they are to rise into position as global powers; they can't very well make such a rise if they are denied ever increasing amounts of oil. This is why the US occupies Iraq, has plans for at least 14 permanent military bases in the country as well as its largest embassy anywhere in the world and why Bush has promised intervention in Iran if he is reelected and why the neoconservatives (almost entirely chickenhawks, i.e those who've never been in combat but are giddy about sending others into it) are clamouring for action against Syria and other nations in addition.

Of course this all requires significant military forces, more than the US can currently field with a volunteer army.

15. I agree...
They will use their powers to grab more control of the media and more control of the laws to make them stay in power longer - if the bush coward manages to steal this election it is the beginning of the end of America as we know it. Democrat can not allow this to happen we must stand up to save America for our children.

16. No, quite the opposite. It will mean Amerika now and forever a one-party
State.

Votiong = Third World

Media "News" = Third World

Law Enforcement = Third World (Busheviks can DO ANYTHING and get away with it, the rest of us are the African-Americans in 1950s Mississippi)

This is the final "law" We the People can exert on the Imperial Family.

If it fails, then finally and irrevocably, THERE IS NO LAW IN IMPERIAL AMERIKA.

(but be careful because unless you are an Imperial Family member or Accredited Stooge, you are the African-American in Mississippi 1950, though they can't burn us or lynch or beat us YET...they're working on other methods to achieve the same goals)
