This is not a "who cares" election. I talked to some people while phone-banking who said they "don't get involved in politics". If Bush gets reelected, politics will be getting involved in everybody's life big time, especially those who value their freedom. These are people who want to radically change our country and will do whatever they need to achieve their goals. Nobody is going to be able to live out their lives unaffected by these changes. We are witness to one of those points in history that will determine the course of events for decades to come. Bill Clinton was right on when he said that if you have one candidate who wants you to be afraid and another who wants you to hope, you better vote for the one who offers hope. I guess what I'm saying is that today is a day that we all must do whatever we can to get John Kerry elected. I know many of us have been working very heroically for the last few months volunteering on the campaign. Today is a day all of us have to get people to the polls-call up at your local hdqtrs, ask that older neighbor if he or she needs a ride or bring groups of friends down to the polls to vote. Anything can help. You can look back on this day and proudly say "I was there when we took back America" !
