Why are our "States Forums" not being visited by DU'ers? Why are we not
in this Forum posting about what's going on...who the candidates are the
"Propositions" which are how our Governments govern themselves? Why is there no "Discussion" here in the Forums and on Mainstream DU about these issues all over the US which are DO IMPORTANT!

Environmental, Family, Children and Women's Issues, Law Inforcement (how many of us are expecting "pepperball sprays or eyes shot out like the beautiful gal in Boston) and all over the country where our civil liberties are being taken away.

Also...Privatization which is disguised on ballots all over the US where we think we are supporting "bond buys..or purchases" by our struggling State Governments when in reality it's all an ENRON BUYOUT where we are going to give ENRON TYPE STATE CORPS to PRIVATIZE our AIR, WATER, and EARTH....to PRIVATE CORPS to "dole it out BACK to us but with a "Price Tag!"

Wake up America...read your state BALLOTS...GOOGLE THE ISSUES...PLEASE!

2. Well, the Minnesota forum is very active
but that may be because we have had a couple of successful gatherings where a lot of us have gotten to know one another.

4. Have you gone to your State Democratic Party Website or your County...
I know that our Dem Organization on these Websites is kind of faulty (believe me) but there should be a sample ballot to get you familier with the issues and also check out groups that you believe in if you are Environmental or Endangered Species Advocate for Protection...those website often have a box to put in your state zip code and you can see how they feel about the issues you are going to be voting on in your individual state.

It isn't easy. We need to work on taking back our Dem Party at the Grassroots so that all of us can be more informed and urge them to be better at getting info out to the public.

5. I think it is because the national election is so front and center
right now. I would expect this to change after the election, because the battle at the state and local levels is one that needs to be focused on after we get these bastards out of the White House.

7. The Texas Forum gets a lot of use
Although we have just a couple of statewide races and no constitutional amendments this year. But we use it to publicize local events and keep up with what's going around the state. It's nice to have a place where we can do that and not have a thread sink into the archives in a couple of hours.

8. New York Forum

Really, what is there to discuss? Schumer is a lock. My Congressman is a lock, the state is a lock for Kerry. I can't even think about Bloomberg and that ass Pataki. Every other seat I can vote for is either a lock, or so cross endorsed there's no point in voting at all for these people.

I'm obssessed with getting rid of the Boy King. That's all I care about at this point.

9. I'm just a little overwhelmed with reading, and failed
the Evelyn Wood reading classes. Give me a break; I'm doing the best I can with only 2 eyes and 1 brain. Besides, I've already voted and spent an entire month going over my state's issued with people I know, the internet, and reading all that damn paper that has come into my house because of this election. I'm just a bit electioned out.

10. I agree
I try to visit the Texas forum each time I log on. I know they have had get togethers in the past, which I have missed. I am looking forward to the next one.
