There may be something to the Redskins loss
My thought is that if an undecided hears about the Redskins, and the history of the win/loss as it relates to the election it may have a subconscious effect. If someone is truly on the fence in the mind they could be drawn towards Kerry, thinking that the outcome is inevitable. I do think that a Redskins win would have cast a pall over DU, no matter how unreasonable it is. Think about that on a global scale. No one wants to be associated with a loser. keep in mind I am speaking of the subconscious mind as no reasonable person would make a decision consciously based on the outcome of a football game.

2. Oh, I had spin ready for a Redskins win.
When the Redsox miracle occurred, it became clear that all bets are off and all rules rewritten beginning with this year.
