PAX Paid Programming .. easy to miss and skip over !
This is where they are showing the trash film by the bitter old vets that can't move on. All it says on the rural Sat TV guides is "paid programming"

If I had not seen it on here I certainly would not have known it was Carlton Sherwoods attempt to look like he was some sort of honest documentary reporter.

But look folks, Sundance is playing Bush's Brain on election eve and the title is in the film guide so dont worry about a film no one can find on the viewer guide.

1. How Many Cable Systems Carry Sundance?
I never heard of them except on DU.
My cable company doesn't carry them, of course.

2. I used to get Sundance on my DISH satellite,
But don't get it on the cable hookup I now have. On the satellite, however, I could not get any local channels but I had to opt out of Sundance and PAX when I switched. Don't really miss PAX, but liked Sundance, as well as Democracy NOW, which I no longer receive. I've never been sure just how these programming decisions are made. I'm just grateful that I'm now getting Comedy Central. The Daily Show keeps me goin', since I don't watch any of the "mainstream media".

4. I believe all of Time-Warner
carries Sundance, but I think it's only available with their digital cable package. Meanwhile, for some reason I can't fathom (maybe it's part of a package deal), Pax seems to be carried on basic cable.

Also of note, in my area, C-SPAN is not part of basic cable!

3. hmmm...my satellite dish service (DirecTV) offers PAX as part of its basic
programming service, but you have to pay extra (purchase a comprehensive movie channel package) in order to get Sundance.

I have PAX on my blocked channels list (along with the home shopping and religious channels), anyway, since it's about 80% paid programming.
