Why is Tony Blair sending an adviser here to consult with John Kerry??
Wants to be the first to get in touch with President Kerry?

"Tony Blair has sent one of his closest advisers on a secret peace mission to mend relations with John Kerry, the United States presidential challenger, The Independent on Sunday can reveal.

News of the confidential meeting comes as the campaign enters its final 48 hours, with the candidates running neck and neck. Mr Blair is concerned that he will appear isolated if George Bush loses in Tuesday's poll, because of his support for the Iraq war."

2. Blair may be a suckup,
but he's a realistic suckup.

He doesn't live in a 'faith based' reality.

3. Blair thinks he can ride JK's coattails...
and survive another election.

JK will get the 411 on Blair from The Big Dog.

4. To see if Kerry's doggie treats are tastier than Goober's?
Or, to see how fast he can bail out of Iraq should Kerry win.

5. Also, Blair knows his flank is exposed
Gordon Brown, Chancellor of the Exchequer (the equivalent of Treasurer) and Blair's chief rival, is a friend of Bob Shrum's and has met several times with Kerry. Blair is probably looking forward to the next general election and trying to make sure that a President Kerry doesn't ignore him and/or set up a backchannel to Brown and maybe support him when election time comes around. 6. Blair's a liar too,
but he isn't an idiot. I doubt that he'll survive our next election, though. I hope not.
