Who Else Is Concerned About This Election's Outcome?
I know I am. I haven't been losing sleep, finger nails and weight for nothing. Ignorance still persists in this country, so when persuading folks of your point of view, you have to acknowledge that Bush Supporters really needed a bit of educating before you started trying. I guess that's the most frustrating experience for me. Once you try to educate them on the issues, you realize how uninformed they really are. On top of it, an emotional response automatically deflects any information from being absorbed, kinda like a concrete and steel reinforced forehead. You can talk till your blue in the face, but the info they have so far is much less complicated and convenient for them, than the info you are offering them.

Now that we know the election is upon us all, what will happen if they steal this election? Is there a plan somewhere? I want to know, because I'll be damned to go silently. I will fight to the end. If I have to march 24-7, I'm game. I will not live in a Fascist Republic! I will not have these jerks control my country. I refuse to accept defeat.

My parents have seen oppression, violence, fascism and communism. They did not come here for nothing!

So what is the plan or is there even a plan?

1. relax . . . should be a big win for Kerry . . .
Bush fatigue has set in, and young people are mobilized . . . the turnout will be huge, and I'm predicting a Kerry win so big that it will overwhelm any voter fraud that may take place . . .

3. Close Enough For Repubs to Steal - Tied in the Polls
One nightmare I have is that we could have a Kerry landslide
AND NEVER EVEN KNOW IT due to massive electoral fraud and collusion
by the TV networks and a few major polling organizations.

How many votes can they steal?

7. the bigger nightmare is what that *hole can do until Kerry is sworn in...
THAT worries me the most. A petulant ignoramous piece of scum like bush backed up by the neocon predatoryness will have something unpleasant for the world to deal with in the interim.

6. Well, I have burst into tears twice today . . .
and I haven't cried spontaneously like that since the week after 9/11 . . . so I guess I'm just a teeny bit stressed.

8. Nothing to worry about...
Yes, the polls are currently basically tied - but I don't beleive in the polls. The polls are showing that the 1000 people they could get ahold of or didn't hang up on them prefer Kerry and * equally. They don't get ahold of people like myself (and many others) who operate only with a cell phone. And somehow I fail to beleive that there's that many redneck repugs with cell phones.

Don't worry - the results will surprise you - and more importantly - the GOP.

9. I am terrified, because the corruption of these people is unprecedented
about 75% of the time I believe Bush will steal the election.
about 25% of the time I have mad flashes of hope.

11. I plan on a long, hard electoral crisis
Edited on Sun Oct-31-04 06:34 PM by Selatius
I think the Electoral College is going to fuck up again. If elections are too close, the likelihood the College will do like it did in 2000 goes up. 2000 wouldn't be the first time. If that's the case, we better be vigilant about everyone's vote being counted regardless if it is Republican or Democrat because we need to be sure that the election results reflect the truth of the matter. It's really time we look at abolishing the College and instituting IRV for all federal seats.
