Media Myth: Bush NEVER said he wanted Bin Laden "Dead or Alive"!
Below is the actual quote. Notice how Bush took great pains to avoid directly saying he wanted Bin Laden 'dead or alive'. Of course he never wanted him dead or alive. Osama Bin Laden is a family member of Bush's oil buddies in Saudia Arabia, the Bin Laden Group/Royal Family.

Pressed directly at the time for what he meant he said "All I'm doing is remembering. When I was a kid I remember that they used to put out there in the Old West a wanted poster. It said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive.'"

HERE IS THE FULL TEXT

"I want justice," Bush said when asked by reporters if he wanted bin Laden killed in retaliation for terrorist attacks on New York and Washington. "There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive.'"

Pressed to elaborate on what he meant by those comments, Bush said: "All I'm doing is remembering. When I was a kid I remember that they used to put out there in the Old West a wanted poster. It said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive.'"

1. AWoL is such a child. As a kid, he probably sat in the back sit with his
sister with his hand up to her face saying "I'm not touching you.. I'm not touching you!"

it doesn't sound like he's grown up at all.

6. Here's a little more context
Bush, asked if he wanted bin Laden dead, responded with an allusion straight out of the history of his native Texas. "I want justice," he said. "There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'wanted dead or alive.'"

Asked to elaborate on the meaning of Bush's words, White House spokesman Ari Fleischer declined, saying, "I think they were pretty plainly spoken." Asked if Bush's allusion to "justice" meant bringing bin Laden before some tribunal or simply eliminating him through military means, Fleischer said: "I think that justice comes in many different shapes and forms."

9. When I was a kid
you could get those "Dead or Alive" posters with your own picture on it at Six Flags.

I'm Bunnypant's age. Maybe that's what he remembers.

10. Good point.
Think about it. If you or I or anyone else was President on 9/11/01, we'd be obsessing with killing Osama. But, except for this one time that Bush says "Dead or Alive", I can't recall him devoting any significant time to discussing OBL. And when he did have them cornered in Tora Bora, suddenly the administration allows an air corridor out of Kandahar giving safe passage for AQ regulars, Pakistani ISI, and maybe even OBL out of the area*....just like he allowed OBL's family and other Saudi royalty safe passage out of this country days after 9/11.

And 6 months later....almost to the day of 9/11, Bush utters his incredibly bizarre statement that he doesn't care if OBL is brought to justice or not.

The corporate media has not explored the connections between Bush, the bin Ladens, or the House of Saud. I truely believe Bush is compromised on his ability to fight terror. The House of Saud has him leveraged, bigtime.
