I absolutely, completely, wholeheartedly adore John Kerry.
I mean it.

I started off VERY ABB, even up until and past the convention. But, after attending 3 or 4 rallies, watching Going Upriver, listening to his Senate testimony during Vietnam, and watching him lead the VVAW, I have truly grown to deeply, deeply respect and admire this man. He has a certain...something...about him that I trust very much. It's part pure intelligence, but also a sense of calm and security about him. There are two photos that make me feel this way: one is him from Vietnam, shirtless, looking down at a little puppy in his lap. Another is from "Going Upriver", after all the veterans threw their medals away, and the crowd has gone. John is sitting on the grass with his knees up and his head between them, and I believe Judy is next to him hugging him.

Maybe I am way too tired, stressed out, and sappy, but I truly respect and admire John Kerry; I really do. We owe it to him to do everything we possibly can to get him elected; we only have 2 days until the election. After four long, excrutiatingly painful years, we have just 2 days to make sure we don't endure four more years.

Let's get out there, work like hell and do all we can - we're almost there :)

2. Well, I wouldn't sleep with him or anything
but Going Upriver did a lot to convert me from ABB to a Kerry fan. The shot of him on the grass after he threw his medals was very touching. I think he is exactly the person this country needs right now. And I think he is going to win Tuesday. I think he is going to win decisively.

12. I would.
Well, in my dreams, anyway. Because it would never happen in real life, so I think it's safe to fantasize.

I actually had a dream last night that I was having an affair with him, but my psyche justified it by having JK tell me that Theresa wanted to go back to an old lover and he was heartbroken. He then said it was ok to have an affair with me because Theresa was going to divorce him.

Oh well, just a dream! But a good one!

6. OK, this is a really intimate confession
I can't believe I'm writing this here.

But, in 1992, when Bill Clinton was running for the first time, I had the hottest dream about him. I mean, I woke up wondering "WTF?"

When he ran for re-election, I had the same dream, only this time, Hillary was there, over on the side. Again, a very sexy dream.

So, since then, no more hot dreams. Really.

A few months ago, BANG! The Kerry Hot Dream arrived. And it was just as powerful as the Clinton dreams.

I've always thought Kerry was extraordinarily attractive, but I never thought of him in THAT way. Apparently, some part of my libido did.

But, what I'm consciously finding beautiful about him these days is his incredible strength. His voice isn't giving out, his energy has stayed at top pitch, his passion is there, and he hasn't even been off one day for anything like a cold, hoarseness, exhaustion, anything. At his age, that's amazing.

He is officially HOT.

And now, back behind the drapes for me ........................

7. I feel the same way.
I think thats why I have worked my butt off to get him in from TX here. Was the first one in the county to vote ..and voted for him, was out canvassing today and calling voters, writing to news media broadcasters and newspapers.
I think I am so ready for someone with integrity and honesty in the Whitehouse.

This is also why I get so damn angry when those spinners for * insult his character. Give us all a break. We have been trying to unspin this whitehouse for the last four years.
Finally we will have an honest president that levels with us, and I do think he will level with us.

8. I was very, very ABB
and have to admit that until I started seeing some of the still pictures posted here, I was still not really for JK.

The pictures converted me. He is so genuine. The still pictures do so much more for him than the little snippets I had previously seen on TV.

10. I was ABB until I learned about his younger years...
I didn't know anything about him other than he was a Democratic senator from Massachusetts. I then fell in political love with him & am grateful that he's about to become our president.

It says a lot about Kerry's pristeen character that the Republicans, who are the dirtiest campaigners of all, have nothing but a 32-year-old Nixon-manufactured vendetta against Kerry with which to hurt him. Kerry's good character has forced them to scrape the bottom of the barrel of unethical tactics by projecting the coWard's failings onto Kerry, hoping to fool people with their misinformation.

11. Interesting thread......
no, I have no desire to sleep with him either. :-)

But I've been a big proponent of Kerry since he announced. I just knew he was the guy to take on Dimson and the corporate Republican media machine. I've been an admirer of Kerry since he came on the scene in the early 70's.

He is the Bush antidote....

13. During the primaries
was not for Kerry but for Dean. But let me tell you, John Kerry because of the conviction in his voice, so strong and spoke from the heart during the end of the primaries changed my opinion of him. Yes, John Kerry is best for America. Yes, the Kerry/Edwards ticket is best for America. I can't explain this, but the thought of Kerry/Edwards, Teresa and Elizabeth representing our country makes me proud and comfortable. They will make me proud to be an American.
