If you had a horse that consistently ran away from the finish line and put you in peril, might you consider choosing a different horse?

On a more serious not, though, if you told your horse to walk along the stream and he gallopped into the river, and then just stood there with the current assaulting him, you'd be an idiot not to try to get as far away from that horse as possible.

If you are afraid to change horses in mid-stream, you might want to ask yourself how you got into that stream in the first place.
