Thoughts from Ohio

Talked to my son last night, he said he was not sure if he would be home for Christmas as he thought. Got his desert gear and said they are not being told when they will leave for the gulf. Many of you know this will be his second tour. I am more fearful this time because he said they will probably be going to Bagdad. Shit!
I know you will all pray for him as I pray for all of them.

On another note we letter carriers here in Ohio have been buried by political mail all week. It all came to a head yesterday when they had to pay all of us 3 hours of double time to deliver what we had yesterday alone. Our boss said the election was costing the PO millions in overtime. Then today we find out from our union that * and crash cart complained to the Postmaster general that we were not delivering the Repug mail because our union is for Kerry. What a couple of assholes. Our union Pres. demanded an apology. I am not holding my breath.

so that I could line it's cage with all the political mail I have received. We got 6 pieces today alone - and only one for Kerry or any Dem.

4. I'm sorry to hear about your son's upcoming deployment.

Mine is in Japan and we are hopeful he will be able to stay there for the entire two year assignment. My wish is that your son comes home soon, safe and sound.

Presumably, the USPS is making money from all of these mailings. But not enough to offset the overtime? Good for your union president for standing up to the liars! One who has no integrity cannot understand the integrity of others!
