I think Maher has a thing for ho-bags, no matter their political persuasion. He can't seem to relate to many real women. Thus, his sexism that seeps through occasionally.

The geek seems to find no merit in a woman beyond her sex. I stopped watching the woman-hating freak 2 years ago, after watching him slavishly fawn over the reichbot and various and sundry femmes and then trash brains like Reno and Albright.
His opening monologues were self-aggrandizing crap.
I wouldn't watch him if you paid me.

I was trying to be nice, though I shouldn't.

To be fair, I have seen a few of his shows this year (hard to catch without HBO) and he seems to almost *know* he has a problem with the sexist thing. That could just be me seeing what I want to though.

I can't completely discard him though b/c he kicks ass on so many points, even with the sexism...all of the people I look to seem to have at least one issue they haven't resolved yet so I take what is good and criticize the rest.
