Austria scraps Arnie statue
Plans to build an 80ft statue of Arnold Schwarzenegger's Terminator character in his Austrian home town have been scrapped because he's backing President Bush.

1. Good for Austria!

They're not going down the fascist road again.

2. LOL!
Their hatred of Bush* runs deeper than the pride for their native son. That's funny! :D

3. For some reason, I'm guessing that this will bother him more
than he will let on. Something about letting down his own people, etc.

5. In the land of Kurt Waldheim, Arnie gets curb service because he's pro-*?
Will someone please explain to me why this isn't a double standard. Not that I'm an Arnold fan, let alone pro-Yukko. I don't even want to use the asterisk anymore. It's just that I see an Austrian crystal house about to be hit by a stone.

6. I think I know where you're heading
Are you perhaps referring to one named Jeorg Haider?

9. Is Haider still in power? I haven't been following Austrian politics
I know they circled the wagons around Waldheim and voted for Haider to spite their European neighbors. That's why I don't understand the disconnect regarding another of their own. Logically, they should love *, shouldn't they? But there I go again, assuming logic has anything to do with RW politics anywhere.
