Silly question on the 180 document release request thing.
I know this had to have been discussed here, but my search skillz are weak. So I'm asking for an assist. I'm being hammered with this story about how Kerry won't sign this form and release all of his military records. All I see are references to an old article by CSNSnews referring to the Navy contradicted Kerry. But I'm not seeing any factual counter to this. Kerry had to have signed something to release all of the records that are readily available. What could this form 180 possibly be holding back other than maybe some personal stuff like medical records. Help me guys, what am I missing here?

This is the headline of the article:
Navy Contradicts Kerry on Release of Military Records

2. sorry I can't, I'm getting attacked about this and I have to shut it down
"Kerry won't release his records" Never mind the stuff that is still missing from Bush's records. I know it's silly, but I don't like not having the facts to refute this crap.

5. I'd like to know too
Only because the freepers keep bringing it up. It may be a non-issue to us, but it isn't to them. Is it true that you can't even use the Freedom of Information Act to look at their records unless they sign a Form 180? It's a little late in the game now, but I just wonder what the rules are.

6. Yes
One can access service records under the FOIA. I am basing that statement on information concerning that from the Burkett book "Stolen Valor." But one must have social security number or service number I understand.

I found it necessary to access my records and I used form 180. It was very easy. We as a family also used form 180 to access a deceased family member's records.

This access does not include medical records. I had to give special permission to access my medical records.

No way should Kerry be expected to release his military medical records unless our fearless leader also does so.

Oh boy! I would sure like to see that!

Google Form 180, read the instructions for your self.

180.. hee hee hee!
