Four words Republicans find Obscene and Obnoxious
Edited on Sat Oct-23-04 11:32 AM by Bandit
"Protect Our Civil Liberties" I think this is something that needs some wider attention. Republicans threw three teachers out of a Bush* rally in Oregon for wearing T-Shirts with those four words on them. It went all the way to the top of the Party so it wasn't just some overactive ticket takers. I could imagine an AD about this event. I think it would be very powerful.

"Bryan Platt, Chairman of the Jackson County Republican Central Committee,
said he stood 100 percent behind the person who made the decision to exclude
the women, removing any doubt that one or two individuals exceeded their
authority and blew it. No, it was solid, Republican neo-conservative fascist
policy on open display,"

5. That is correct but only a partial view I'm afraid.

2. It is so clear that this pResident and the Gas, Oil and Plutonium party
fear dissent of any kind. If this little fuckwad were ANY kind of a man, he would not be screening his audiences. It's disgraceful, and shows him to be the coWard we all know him to be. Cheney the Dick has the same problem, with his loyalty oaths and all...I cannot believe that there is not more outrage over these egregious contradictions to all that our country stands for. And yet these shameless whores try to claim patriotism as their own.
Filth.

4. I had the pleasure of meeting these three teachers
when they did a teleconference from my office last Sunday. Not only were their t-shirts completely innocuous, you could not imagine three more pleasant and proper young women. A friend who participated in the * event told me that everyone was to be on guard for signs that anyone might be opposed to *. "Civil Liberties" was evidently considered contrary to administration policy.
