"Cheney: Terrorists May Bomb U.S. Cities"

CARROLL, Ohio (AP) - Vice President Dick Cheney on Tuesday raised the possibility of terrorists bombing U.S. cities with nuclear weapons and questioned whether Sen. John Kerry could combat such an "ultimate threat ... you've got to get your mind around."

"The biggest threat we face now as a nation is the possibility of terrorists ending up in the middle of one of our cities with deadlier weapons than have ever before been used against us - biological agents or a nuclear weapon or a chemical weapon of some kind to be able to threaten the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans," Cheney said.

"That's the ultimate threat. For us to have a strategy that's capable of defeating that threat, you've got to get your mind around that concept," Cheney said.

Cheney, speaking to an invitation-only crowd as he began a bus tour through Republican strongholds in Ohio, said Kerry is trying to convince voters he would be the same type of "tough, aggressive" leader as President Bush in the fight against terrorism.

1. If this fucker is so concerned ...
about terrorist bombing our cities, Why is he on the campaign trail talking about it instead of where he belongs, actually doing something to prevent it.

Don't listen to what they say, Watch what they do.

Cheers

2. Yeah, Bush* sure did a great job the last around. If it hadn't
been for his prompt action, think of the lives and property which might have been lost.

3. So you've got to have a strategy? Hm.
BushCo is NOT

protecting the borders or nuclear facilities...

examining cargo (planes and ships)...

accounting for missing (deadly) materials from our labs...

replacing first responders who are deployed to Iraq & Afghanistan...

developing contingency plans in stockpiling vaccines (flu)...

... and the beat goes on.

8. dick cheney is providing a compass which points to what BUSHCO plans to do
to stay in power... they really are truly, truly an evil bunch!!!!!!!!

They have no caring or regard for these United States. They have no caring or regard for our Constitution... they are so evil that they wrap themselves in righteousness to blur, obscure and confuse people's thinking and for good measure they instill lots of fear in people who seem to buy their infantile threats.

9. If Cheney is scared of this - maybe its because the Republicans don't know
how to stop it. So, it's time for a new government.

12. Fear, fear and terror are all these asshats have left.
They can't run on their domestic issues record, since it is crap, and everyone knows it. They can't run on their foreign policy successes, since there aren't any, since they have lied us into a war and alienated virtually every other country in the world. So that leaves them running on lies, smears, and fear. Even though that fear is as baseless as everything else this administration claims, they are using the time honored tactic of the Big Lie. Yell it long enough and loud enough, and maybe, just maybe enough of the people will be fooled that Bushco can squeak back in.

13. I just hope that whoever is in office
will keep us from being attacked. I believe we can still be attacked. I know that is unpopular. Especially here. Especially because there hasn't been an attack in a while. But I still think it can happen. Kerry and Edwards need to be able to handle it if it does happen. Actually I would rather it just be prevented altogether.

15. I don't think the opinion that we will get attacked again is unpopular
here. I think that most folks here are REALISTIC.

See, the implied flip-side to saying "we will get attacked if Kerry is elected" is "we will NOT get attacked under Bush*."

Does that sound correct? Of course not.

Using fear as a political device means you feel the electorate is stupid. If you ARE stupid, you should vote for Bush*.
