One thing Ron Suskind points out in his sunday NYT article stands out:
He quotes a "Senior Aide to Bush" as saying "We are an Empire now.We create our own realities".This is perhaps the truest statement to emerge from any Bush official. The past four years we have been subjected to the most pervasive disinformation campaign in American history which has baffled and frustrated anyone who thinks rationally and tries to make sense out of it all.

We must use this statement as a starting point to reexamine all of our old assumptions about this gang that seized power in 2000..It is not a normal Administration in the old sense of the word.It is in essence a gang of thugs that has hijacked our Constitution and subverted it.No other explanation fits it.

1. and no doubt the senior aide is a chickenhawk who loves war and
empire building. What a joy it's going to be to sweep them out of the White House - but we're going to have to watch all these punks in their private endeavors.
