1. Hooboy, I can't believe Shrum's excusse for fucking this up.
It's one of John Kerry's biggest achievements in the Senate: a groundbreaking investigation into money laundering, drug dealers, terrorists and secret nukes. Yet voters have rarely heard of the senator's dogged inquiries into the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI). Why? Because some of Kerry's leading campaign strategists believed it was too difficult for voters to digest. "You can't talk about that because people think you're talking about the BBC," Bob Shrum, Kerry's top adviser, told one senior staffer. "Why were you investigating British TV?"

Unbelievable! Hey Shrum, you dumbass, it's your fucking JOB to figure out ho to make it easy for voters to digest. How about you start out with the entire story difficult or no, repeat for several weeks, see what parts pull the interesst and hone in the message to hit those points! You think maybe the part where Kerry went after money-laundering thatt may have landed in terrorist's hands 15 YEARS BEFORE 9/11/01 may have something to do with why we aren't talking about 9/11/95 or 96 or 97? You think that may be RELEVANT to todays discourse? BOB!!

In the words of Jon Stewart, You're a dick!!

With "friends" like that....

6. I think any DUer could dod better than this!
I got another one; How about you just phrase campaign speeches with "In 1968 I was in Viet Nam and bush* was in the TANG, I ask all you here to look at our records"

"In 1972 I was in _________ and bush* was in the ____, I ask all you here to look at our records"

"In 1976 I was in _________ and bush* was in the ____, I ask all you here to look at our records"

"In 1982 I was Lt Gov of Mass and bush* was in on the board of Harkin Oil, I ask all you here to look at our records"

Get the picture? of course that would require some research, Bob, to pick relevant dates that contrast the two men and target the audience to things you want them to know about each man. You could have more detailed info on the website and develop ones further that seem to draw more interest and drop those that bring less interest. Bob, is that so goddamned hard?

You could even leak a "bush* was paying for his underaged girlfriends abortion while Kerry was _______" and after a day of it hitting the airwaves hard, disavow it. Bob, do you WANT to win?

geez.

2. He's a gutsey, classy guy.
With excellent skills. He knows diplomacy, how to prosecute criminals, how to get something done, how to normalize relations between the U.S. and other countries. He has respect the work over. More reasons to vote for the guy. Kerry in a landslide!

3. They could have tossed Iran/Contra into
the mix. More drug, arms and money laundering that Kerry nailed to the wall.

5. I don't see many ads...
...on TV. But I sure hope that are being both positive AND negative in these last 13 days.

They need a "Kerry in the Senate ad." One that does not get into details, just results ... "broke up a major international finacer of terror," "Fought the good fight for POWs and MIAs"... that kind of thing.
