2. I wish it was otherwise, but it ain't
Kerry's comment haunts us...who will be the last person to die in the lost cause of the Iraq invasion and occupation. How will we justify to the families of their loved the sacrifice they made?

BY REINSCRIBING THE PRINCIPLES OF PROGRESS HERE IN THE USA.

Our dream, our quest, our hope, for humans is liberty, justice, and equality. For all.

4. Have we lost the war?
Edited on Sat Oct-16-04 02:20 PM by Selatius
If we are talking about winning their hearts and minds, have we lost Iraq? No amount of troop numbers or international help, whatever Kerry could muster, is going to change the fact that they want us off their homeland.

I have a gut feeling that no matter how many Iraqis with guns we kill, there's still going to be another one willing to pick up a gun and replace him. We must have killed something like 4,000 of them alone back in April, and they still come. For every soldier we lose, they must be losing them by the dozens, yet they still continue to fight us, and innocents are dying in a fight between us and them.

Can anyone here tell me what has changed on the ground in Iraq except that it's now Allawi instead of Bremer in the Green Zone?
