'Baghdad Diaries' by Nuha Al-Radi. Anyone read it?
I just picked this book up and am about 1/3 of the way through it. It perplexes me. On the one hand, it is a chilling account of people who were in the middle of Bush Senior's first war. I can't disagree at all with her opinion of Bush and the West. On the other hand, in the middle of the shelling, she's building a swimming pool and her criticism of Saddam is fairly faint. Maybe I have to read further. Is it worth it?
